Live long trade from October 15th

The following video is an example of a reversal type trade.  The
market had been selling off aggressively.  It tested a major support
level we were monitoring and had a nice bounce.

Shortly after, the software signaled a mechanical long signal.  At
this point, as traders, we use the evidence we have to determine if we
want to take the trade.

We look at several factors to help decide.

Going into the day, we posted that our inter-day (bigger picture) bias was
up.  So, this trade was in-line with that bigger picture bias.

Going into the day, we posted that the 1164.50 should be a major support.
The market tested the 64.50 area a bit earlier and had been rejected.
So, this trade was being helped by a support level.

Finally, we monitor the intra-day (short term) bias with our filter.
It had been neutral for a while and had just turned bearish.  So,
this trade was not being helped by the filter.

However, when you put all of the evidence together, which is simple as you
go into the day with this as your gameplan, it’s easy to determine that
this trade had 2 of the 3 major components we monitor in line and
therefore it had a strong edge.

Live long trade off of the low on Sept 14, 2010

The following video is a good example of how our software works in
real time, and more importantly, the thought process we use to get
into high probability trades.

This is an example of a nice long trade off of the low this
morning. You’ll see how the software displays a trade in real time
and you’ll hear about the decision making process that we go
through to decide if the trade is worth taking and to decide how we
want to manage the trade.
